Journal Corruption Causes
The journal file may be damaged due to a drive fault or sudden power-off of the server. Make sure to check the drive for errors if this occurs.
Journal Backups
You may be able to find a backup of the journal before corruption. Please see journal backup directory.
Supported Versions
This feature is supported starting version 3.03.10
Extract Transactions From Corrupted Journal
- Open CreditLine Batch Archive Dialog and follow the instructions below: a)Select the corrupted journal file to be restored. You can click Open to review the journal and make sure that it is the correct journal to be restored.
b) In the Output File field enter the path to the current journal file that will be created from a copy of the corrupted journal for the date and time selected.
c) Click Open / ReSequence. This will attempt to extract the transactions from the corrupted journal into the the selected path and resequence the transaction numbers for safety. - Now you have the selected batch journal as the current journal.
- Reload the configuration
- Verify the new journal with CreditLine ViewModify Dialog
- Batch the new journal as you normally would.
